BEYOND THE LINE

Works in progress and what comes next.

The Ashen world continues to take shape, one story at a time. Some stories are approaching the shape they were meant to hold. Others are still questions, waiting for the people who will have to answer them.

THE WORK IN HAND

My focus remains on developing and refining the first six stories: Ashen Honor, The Program: Birth of a Shield, Ashen Mission, Rook’s Exchange, Ashen Fidelity, and When the Line Holds. These works establish the people, convictions, and consequences at the heart of the Ashen world. They deserve the time and attention required to get them right.

Visit The Stories to explore their introductions and covers.

STORIES STILL TAKING SHAPE

Beyond those first six, other stories have begun to gather.

The titles below represent ideas I've brainstormed and hope to write. In many cases, the work already extends well beyond a title...storylines have been outlined, character histories explored, and arcs developed. There are beginnings, turning points, and possible endings.

But knowing where a story might go is not the same as having written it. These characters still have choices to make, consequences to face, and truths to discover along the way. Some of those truths may likely change the stories I think I'm going to tell.

Future possibilities include:

• Ashen Fracture

• Calcination: The Cost of Forging a Shield

• Ashen Trial

• Loud Enough

• Ashen Mirror

• Vector

This is a preliminary development list, not a release schedule. Titles may change. Stories may grow, divide, or take an unexpected direction. The work already in hand remains the priority.

Time permitting, these may become the next stories of the Ashen world.

...if the line holds.
